Open to First Nations students studying in Australia and due to graduate between mid-late 2026 onwards, our scholarship is a fascinating introduction to the energy industry where successful students will be taking part in various engagement and learning journeys in February 2026. The scholarship will support your undergraduate progress through soft-skills workshops and networking opportunities, whilst also opening your eyes to the full range of opportunities that our business and sector offer.
To make a strong application, show us how our values match yours. If you are successful in the process, you’ll join a series of events over 3 days in February 2026 – all designed to be a launchpad to our early careers’ programmes. Attend the series of events, and you’ll be awarded with the scholarship of AUD $5,000 to help you through your University studies.

Open to pre-penultimate year of study female students graduating in 2028, our scholarship is a fascinating introduction to the energy industry. It will support your undergraduate progress, while opening your eyes to the full range of opportunities that our business and sector offer. You’ll also gain skills and knowledge that’ll help you apply for one of our internships in the future
Who can apply
Female students, citizens of Azerbaijan and due to graduate in 2028 studying in geology, geophysics, petrophysics, petroleum and reservoir engineering, drilling engineering and various engineering disciplines (industrial, project, mechanical, chemical, automation, electrical, civil, subsea, and pipeline).

During our Discovery Week:
Learn what it’s really like on a bp early careers programme at our next three-day Singapore discovery week, between 4-6 June 2026. Hear from recent graduates in supply, trading & shipping and finance & risk, find out about our culture and ask our recruiters any questions on your mind.
Who can apply
Students graduating between December 2027 - July 2029 from any degree discipline.
If you meet the criteria, we may fast-track you to the technical interview stage for our 2027 internship programme, subject to demand and eligibility.

Throughout the week, you’ll engage in professional skills workshops, meet a diverse group of individuals working in STEM roles across our business, and gain insights into the global challenges we’re tackling. You’ll also get a taste of bp’s culture, explore our wide range of roles and delve deeper into an area of your choice on a shadow day. Plus, you’ll participate in workshops designed to enhance your skills and hear firsthand from our graduates about their life at bp experiences.
Best of all, participation gives you a fast-track to a technical interview for one of our internship opportunities the following year (eligibility criteria will apply).
Participants will receive an attendance allowance, and have travel and accommodation paid for (subject to our policy).

You will also get an opportunity to hear from our current STEM graduates about their roles and participate in workshops to help you improve your skills.

About the program
This engineering scholarship program aims to bridge the knowledge gap between K-12 education and university success, establishing a strong foundation throughout college. This program provides transferable skills development, experiential learning, an introduction to the energy industry and a mentoring offer. Here you will receive essential tools needed to transition to university and beyond.
Early talent programme – supply, trading and shipping
Are you a current university sophomore with a strong interest in financial markets and trading?
Our early talent program, supply, trading & shipping – exclusively for second-year university students who have interest in a future bp internship – offers a fascinating introduction to the fast-paced world of energy trading.
During our four-day program in June 2026, you’ll explore the full range of opportunities within supply, trading & shipping while gaining real insights into how our teams navigate global markets across oil, refined products, power, natural gas, LNG and biofuels.
Spend time learning from professionals across finance, risk management, marketing & origination, commercial, trading, analytics, operations and supply chain on our Houston or Chicago trade floors. Through interactive sessions, discussions with leaders and connections with current early career employees, you'll build the knowledge and confidence to prepare for 2027 internship applications.
