Expanding on our footprint, we have opened our new technical solutions India (TSI) center in Pune.
TSI aims to build on our existing engineering and technical strengths to provide high-quality technical services to bp's hydrocarbons and other businesses worldwide. We offer services across a range of areas
- including engineering, maintenance, optimisation, data processes, projects, subsurface, among others - to help us deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow, while continuously innovating how we work.
The turnaround (TAR) TSI team is a key function in delivering value in a way that’s safe, compliant and cost-effective in line with bp's core goals and objectives. We focus on performing quality turnaround and outage scope development, scope risk management and work package planning. Alongside the scoping & planning team, we work closely with colleagues globally in engineering, project controls and scheduling.
Projects is bp’s capital projects delivery organization, the engine room of the energy transition and the creators of bp’s future. It is the organization that designs, builds and commissions capital projects across the whole world. These are from small (<$30-100m) site based projects to major ($100m to $multi billion) projects ranging from onshore brownfield projects to offshore developments to greenfield projects in pioneering regions.
The team oversees the design, construction, commissioning and quality across the project lifecycle from challenging concepts to start-up. Our scope includes working with engineering contractors, EPCs, fabricators, subsea equipment, wells and equipment manufacturers. We aim to get this all right first time and deliver quality projects.

Health, safety, environment, and carbon (HSE&C) delivers solutions that manage risk – helping to protect people, the environment and bp. HSE&C partners with all businesses across bp.
M&B delivers efficient, accurate and standardized maintenance builds for all sites and new projects. The key processes include building the hierarchy of equipment, identifying equipment criticality, developing and implementing maintenance strategies and determining integrity of equipment.
The integrity management team develops and executes cost effective strategies to keep hydrocarbons in the pipe. The key responsibilities include assessing the threats to equipment and mitigating those risks.
The subsea team ensures integrity and reliability of all subsea equipment and through the complex pipe network it connects the subsea pipeline to the topsides asset. The team also enables the safe and predictable flow of fluids.
The subsurface team is becoming more integrated by breaking down silos and de-layering to help drive efficiencies. It is also modernizing with a focus on digital and agile ways of working.
The engineering team owns and manages all asset equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. Key responsibilities include conducting critical process safety assessments like a hazard and operability study and layers of protection analysis. The team also manages the engineering review and approval of all plant and operational changes.
